Bamboo needing a facelift

Have a bamboo plant in the garden. Gets sun and shade and is sheltered. Looking a bit lacklustre and I don't think as green as it should be. Should I be feeding it?

Bamboo is an insidious weed. Kill it.
I've never fed my bamboo once in the 27 years I've been here, seems to be doing OK.
Beso, I think it is the 'not an insidious weed' variety. Is it getting enogh water? Bamboo likes lots of water.

Garden centres are selling these insidious weeds! Thanks all.
I love my bamboo! In fact if the price is right I will buy more as it makes a very good screen for privacy....
It would help to know which variety you have as they may require different treatments .... It is important to know what you are doing with all plants, so research before you plant is sensible advice ..... Your bamboo should then not become a weed !!
Beso ,I have never heard of bamboo becoming a weed in the UK, even in a lot of france it needs help. There are some spectacular bamboo infestations in Spain though.
