This tree was bought as a 2/3yr old in April time and had a small amount of blossom which never amounted to anything. A couple of weeks ago we noticed it was blossoming again and now it is forming small fruits. Is this unusual or have others had the same happen with a young tree? Could it be the weather?

We found some of our flowering trees are having a second round of flowers, due to the warm damp summer.

Ah so we're not alone. Are you in the SE as well boxy? I suppose I had better remove the fruits as they are not going to have time to come to anything and will only take energy away from the plant.
Yes, I'm in Kent. Our blackberries are also just showing a second round of fruit waiting to ripen.

Oh well maybe I should leave the fruits on then and see how we go. If we have an Indian summer perhaps they'll be OK.
