From where to where do you measure a radiator

From the end of the actual radiator or from the
end of the couplings

The actual size of the radiator, not including the valves/fittings. :o)
And of course DO NOT measure in old money. LOL
Measure from where the valve enters the radiator...this is the width...the height is from top to bottom and the type is determined by how many panels and convectors the rad has...i.e. 1 panel and 1 convector is a type 11....2 panels and 1 convector is a type 21..2 panels and 2 convectors is a type 22...do you get format..
