I have attached a garden hose reel to a wall, trouble is the holes drilled into the brickwork are too big and I don't think they will hold.

What can I do to get a good fixing ?

It has a steel bracket with 4 holes, for the (approx 3" coach screws). TIA

Whittle some wooden plugs and hammer them in.
Small anchor bolts may fit.
Have you not got the big plastic rawlplugs with the bolts Chip? These should fit snugly into the holes in the brick or block work.
As above, Chips ^^^

Or these anchor bolts (they come in different sizes) ...........

Or "resin anchors" ...................

Just fill the holes with resin... push your existing bolts in..... and let it all set hard.

Yes Togo Exactly like that, thank you.
The trouble is, the masonry bits I had were either too small or too large.
I progressed up to the larger size and after the bit rattled about in the hole, it ended up far too wide.
I guess I'll have to look for some expanding plugs to rectify the problem.

Ah, Thanks Builder, I was hoping you might show up, I had to go away for a while for an emergency beer break, when my good friend and neighbor called round to shoot the breeze.
Anchor bolts, look like the best way forward, now I know what they look like.
Thanks again all- Chip.
Moral of the story being... don't waggle your "drill" in the hole or you will render it sloppy.(^_*)

Thanks Togo, your words of wisdom are well meant, I'm sure! Truth is I'm a little shaky but I cant let that stop me trying.
