There's an echo here :-)
I'd go with what it says, you'll probably put on two or more coats anyway; but if you wish to use an undercoat I don't suppose it'd hurt. |

If it is the same as B&Q Dulux paint then undercoat.

Hi sahida, it is a self undercoating paint but all bare wood should have knotting applied first to any knots and then a coat of primer before putting on the finish coat.

Just last week I asked in B&Q what the difference between Trade and regular paint was, to be told [by the manager] Trade was thinner,runnier. He said tradesmen work quick with their brushes/rollers and presumably don't get runs.

dulux trade is thicker and double the price of normal dulux but brilliant to work with.
