Well she wants my husband to do it but he isnt sure how to go about it. I thought prehaps just use the sink taps and drain pipe. But how could you fit the taps for water to the machine?it is a housing assoc place so everything would have to be put back if she moved.Brenda x

They could use the water supply pipes that supply the taps on the basin. Just cut the pipes ( hot & cold ) and pt a couple of those compression fittings in, the ones with the little Red on one and Blue on the other on and off taps and then connect the water feed pipes ( the ones that come with the washing machine ) to them. It would be quite easy to do.

Easiest way would be to leave the basin in place. Do what Tony has said and connect into the cold feed to the basin tap.......... for DIY (you CAN do it yourself) ............. this is good, and can stay in place when she leaves........
http:// Take out the WC suite ............ better still ........... take out the pan but leave the cistern in place. This all depends on how much room you have. Put a bung in the place where the WC connects (big 4" hole) ........... http:// Cut the white plastic waste pipe after it leaves the basin, and put in "T" branch and one of these.............. http:// You'll have to put a reducer between the machine trap and the "T" because your basin waste is 32mm and your trap will be 40mm........... |

You'lll probably find you may only have a cold water supply to connect. Washing M/Cs these days don't have hot and cold fill. It may have if the machine is an old one.

Did you mean TheBuilder rather than buildersmate?
|
|
Thebuilder is the first person that comes to mind when a small downstairs is mentioned. :-p
