It always makes me laugh when you get one of these "homework" questions.

The student has no idea what the question is actually asking, so instead of paraphrasing it to look like a genuine question, they just copy it word for word.

In fact the sentence does not make sense and I think they have left out a word - "the" - so it should start with "what is the importance...."

hello aayush, take no notice of the so called smart arses.

The importance of language is being able to communicate with each other in ones own environment, a national identity can be formed by an outbreak of civil unrest or war (jingoism)
