I believe you have answered your own questions.

Some atheists have read the bible, and would know the answers to your questions - me, for example. Others have possibly never opened it. So what? You don't have to have read J.K.Rowling's books to know that Harry Potter doesn't exist.

How dare you blaspheme against the wizard Harry Potter?!

One might be tempted to ask the same questions to many Christians...

Before I had a chance to read any of the answers given before mine (and without cheating by looking it up), I would have said

1. neither (unspecified)
2. unspecified
3. b
4. b
5. b

But I am puzzled as to

1. why you asked in the first place
;2. why you said "Give in?" so quickly (even before I came to the question);
3. what the point is that you are making (if any).

By the way the concept of satan was not around until after the ninth century. The Magii were essenic(greco judeo) origin as was Jesus and intellectuals as opposed to comparatively mindless political supporters of a political religion. I add that atheist I have met are very knowledgable of the bible in some cases and this demeaning 'test' you have offered supposes atheism and ignorence are integral. Cheers

Bernardo and Moog - it's just a quiz, guys, that's all. Though I should have made it for everyone (I assumed - wrongly - that Christians would know the answers and atheists wouldn't). The reason was not making a point, it's just that a lot of people get these things wrong (Jonah swallowed by a whale, Adam and Eve tempted to eat an apple, and so forth. Next time I'll make it pop music or something.

Is there any rule that says atheists aren't allowed to read the bible?

What do you mean by "rule" ?? By the way if you ask questions make them serious ones..its easy to be ambivalent after the fact. The questions didn't show any great knowledge of the bible and I add, atheists are so often highly intelligent anad well read people and on the other hand Christians are so often badly rea

If you ask questions please don't sit on the ambiguity later like you did; .."oh just a joke etc..." Seriously I find the effort demeaning, truly patronising and quite unfunny. Atheists are very often well read intellectuals, sometimes spiritually injured, sometimes arrogant and sometimes not so bright and par-contra Christians are most often poorly read dummies who are too frightened to say "boo" to the bible, a book with more holes than a collander. There is nothing amusing about some of the travesties performed and still glossed over by the Churches, nothing funny about the US evangelical movement or the precious ignoramuses preaching in the "Crystal Cathedral" and other TV oriented brainwashing 'get-rich-quick-like-Jesus- demanded" tax avoiding schemes (charades) and 'tithing' bonanzas? The question might better be asked.." can you be intelligent and believe the bible or Christianity?... see part 2

Part 2 If there is a God would he favour "the faithful" or aetheism?" looking at the results so far? When he wants to reward the tryers (does "he" actually??...and really God is pretty well "all over red rover" these days, his image is so psychpathic no rational human could rationally believe the image presented of "him"). Looking at the historical ignorence of the bible in old and new testaments , looking at the disgusting hypocrisy, political sliminess, refusing 'to move forward' and ignorence of Judaism, Christianity and Islam when it comes to "the word of God". Observing the political hijacking of religious emotions od hundreds of millions of impotents to invoke tens of millions of murders (and we now have a "reformed alcoholic" thus well bought evangelistic President of USA sending the world crazy) as he pushes the Billy Graham nonsense,... he for decades "advisor to the president" as is every other evangelical TV nutter)where are we going following ""God's" religion". .??. In my opinion directly deeper into a human hell. I have considerable experience in Religious matters and for me today it is "finger in the throat" blatent duplicity, ignorence and political opportunism. Take someone who fervently believes in "the Bible" and you have someone stupid enough to do anything, all you have to do is say" God wants you to do this".Look at the Iraq invasion..portrayed as another Crusade it is not far from the truth...but of course God the ace cretin, really NEEDS this sort of butchery and mayhem in his name because ..because ..because...? Yes but they are not holy books, they are books purporting to report certain events historically pertaining to good and evil. All are flawed, all are political, of all the Johnny come lately is the Q'ran which is a plagirisation with a bit of junket here and there. Mohammed's life is not the life of a 'prophet'..and his thoughts are not particularly original or "God like" other than in the perversity of "God". in fact there probably never were any prophets other than deluded humans. God is presented as an absurdity by people for whom the confusion of population by the the absurd is profitable. Islam exits old testament with Abraham but any religion which invoked expansionism, execution, disfigurement and brutality, infliction of will, war, defamation and denial of free will is an absurdity, an insult to "God" and simply exists to empower the useless and the weak to make the strong rich and the politicians grandiose. Take your pick, of three religions eminating from the one Jewish and thus Egyptian and Babylonin root only one has mollified itself in the last 100 years and it starts with "C".The other two are locked into the ignorence of neanderthall behaviour.Read the Q'ran upways upside down right to left and left to right and you still will not get the message, same with the Torah, that singularly perfect message of how to live in peace and harmony only came from Jesus, the rest are pathetic frauds who did well !!. Cheers
