What became of Carlton House, formerly the home of King George IV? He (or rather the tax payer) spent a lot of money doing it up. Is it still there?

he decided it wasn't grand enough when he became king, and pulled it down again, deciding to enlarge Buckingham Palace instead. The pillars from the portico are now on the National Gallery.
