'Evening. I've been advised to delete my Browser History to facilitate this new site. Did well hitting ctrl F5 or whatever, thanks to whomsoever. But, I can't find out how to delete B H (I think it was Ducksie who advised me to do it). I'm on the hateful Windows 10, on a slow connection, which stops quite often. I've been into Settings (felt brave) but can't find anything at all to the purpose. Please what do I have to do? Thank you. I will, and do, try. PS Latest flower arrangement of mine looks good and story coming along OK. :)

Which browser?
Question Author
Errm................Bing, I think, unless I go on to google, but the problem is the same on both.
To clear browser history press Ctrl + Delete.

To clear browsing data press Ctrl + Shift + Delete.
Those are search engines jourdain. Jackdaw means things like Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox etc. It depends which one you use on how you dear your browser history.
Question Author
Thank you Jackdaw. Could you tell me which window/site I should be on when I do either of these, please? Just thinking that if I try it now, I might delete Answerbank!
The key presses I have mentioned have the same effect as going into the menu. This should work for all browsers.
Bing isn't a browser. Neither is Google. They're both search engines.

Your web browser will be Edge if you're using the default browser with Windows 10, Internet Explorer (if you're mad and using the other browser bundled with Windows 10) or something like Firefox, Chrome, Avant or Vivaldi (if you've got any sense).

Thanks, Prudie, I don't really know. I think I've seen the word Firefox. I'll have a look - but once I come off here there is no guarantee I'll get on it again within the next 24 hrs. :(
It doesn't matter. You won't lose any sites but you will lose your cache and automatic logins so you will have to remember your passwords.
^ The above only applies to clearing browsing data. If you just clear your history you don't lose your cookies.

Thanks again Buen. I assume that I have to click on to whatever icon is on the screen and then do my best. :)

It sounds quite scary JD. I struggle with passwords as it is. I'll look at the whole thread and advice tomorrow - once it all decides to work - when I'm fresh. Been in school today doing the Emergency 1st Aid with readers, so a bit past my best!
Yes, it was me who suggested you clear your cache, I do hope you've sorted it since
Question Author
Hi, Ducksie, no, not sorted yet. As I posted, I'm a bit drained and I think I'll wait until a fresh day tomorrow before tackling what seems like the mountains from The Hobbit to me. I really didn't know what the Browser was (until I read some answers) and OH is even more hopeless than I. In France I had Jackie-computers to hand and she sorted us out. I really will do my best - once the system allows me to do things with it. Mobile phones don't work here and I spend hours watching unresponsive screens. Thank you. :)
