I can't see anything wrong with his clothes. [I'm sorry I didn't wait for the whole picture to load. The trousers might have been terrible. I don't know.]

I'm more bothered about his receiving a knighthood. For what? Singing a load of songs that some people liked, and being well-paid for it. Jeez.
Plus all the money he has raised for charities.
His tartan trousers were smart! Nice outfit, I thought.
but what about Rods garb ?

What about it?
I have no interest in the honours but Rod seems like a decent bloke who has made a few decent records ... oh yeah and he does his bit for charity (I do too but don't like to talk about it)
All I can say is, its about time to!!
Just the sort of garb I would expect from a pop star like Rod.

This post wasn't meant to be in anyway negative about Rod. While I don't really agree with the honours system, I am more than happy for Rod Stewart to get his. I was a great fan of his when I was a teenager......"Reason to believe" is still one of my favourites songs from that era....We lost a great songwriter the day Tim Hardin died.

But it did look as if Rod was wearing some kind of uniform and I was genuinely interested as to whether it was indeed a uniform or not.

Here is Rod ::

Hopefully he will wear it well.
LOL @ Baldric, that's BA right there!
Think Rod's great, loved his tartan trousers !
I am a fan or Rod Stewart, but if there are honours for 'services to music' - I can think of a large list of people who should be honoured ahead of him.
was he kneeling in the picture or about to kneel?
He does wear it well - and congratulations to him.

Thanks for the thought Chill (10:19) I bet if you asked Rod he would say
"I don't want to talk about it" though.
Are they, what they "Gor-blimmy trousers" ?
^call^

Actually, "Cor Blimey"
£50k donated to princes' trust for a gong is cheaper than tax due if he lived in UK
Can't really see what he's wearing, logic would say it's a formal Stewart clan attire? (and he looks great in it)
He well deserves it, grown up with Rod
I think he earned it he does a lot for Charity.
If this works a better view of the outfit....
