No - not the Collen Rooney or Victoria Beckhams but I thought the word Wag referred to a kind of Artful Dodger type chappy
Am I thinking of the wrong thing?

And there was I thinking you were on about Wives (Hags ?) And Girlfriends.
Wag in football terms means Wifes And Girlfriends .
The older definition did mean an 'artful' dodgy type of person.
Ys it was used in football commentary the other day to mean that (not wives) and really confused me!
