Yes - - make sure you have backed up any personal items prior to doing this.

I will do but will what I said originally clear it and all history?
I'm not sure it will clear it up for those who know how to find it. Isn't that why we are always told to smash up or drill through a hard drive before dumping a computer?
Yes everything goes.
I agree with Prudie.
I did a factory reset on a Samsung tablet. Everything gone? No!
There were some bits of info still in there.
Not much, but some.

It is a 3G ram 32b storage I have not added any ram only apps wouldnt know how to add ram don't even know what it is !!
On the edge of the tablet you will have what's known as a 'Ram Slot' .. this is where you add a small card to expand the memory.
If you press the ege of this card it should pop out... that's if you have one fitted.
Have a look at this video at 1.35 he points out the slot concerned.

Even if you do put it back to factory settings will they take it back as it has been used?

Yes they said it was like I leased it £648 for a year ridiculous!!
Sorry to labour a point but a RAM pack is not the same as a memory card. RAM packs give extra RAM which make the machine work faster, memory cards give extra storage.
I'd also like to repeat what I said. there has been many a tale of hard-drives ending up in India etc with people's personal details on. I know we are told to destroy hard-drives before dumping a PC, I've seen many questions over the years on here about the best way to do it - so if it's just a case of returning to factory settings why does this happen?
And there have been stories of people buying 'new' (returned) PCs containing personal info and maybe things like porn (not suggesting that in your case gordie)
