I am Mexican American and am looking for the origin of my families surname which is "Madueno". I was told that it originated from an Irish surname. I've never come across anyone else outside my family with this name. If anyone has seen this name or something resembling this name, any info would help? TY.

dueno just means boss or something like it (duena is a landlady, I think), so I would have thought a Spanish origin was quite likely.
