My computer was infected with websearches.com/istart.websearches.com. I got rid of the browser hijacker, ran Malwarebytes.... but now my Internet Explorer will not save History of websites visited. It still retains my list of Favourites, but not History.... I am using Windows 8, and I have reset Google as my homepage. I have done all the usual stuff like going into Internet Options, and have unchecked the box "Delete browsing history on exit".... What else can I do to retain the history pages..... please

Try entering 'save browsing history' in your Google search box. I've just done that, and there are plenty of websites that might help.

In IE go to internet Options/Content/AutoComplete/Settings and put 'ticks' where necessary, click Apply and OK
