Dont know if I`m posting the following question in the correct section but would appreciate any help you can offer.
My late mother first married in 1942 at the age of 18. On the marriage certificate her Rank or Profession is given as `H.T.2`, whilst that of her husband, who was 19, is given as `H.N.F`. Does anyone have any idea what these initials mean? I know that she was later in the ATS and her husband in the army.
Thanks

dzug2 and Peter Pendant Sorry for not acknowledging your replies earlier but thanks for taking the time to search for an answer.
As I have discovered one misprint on the copy of the birth certificate I think Peter is correct and that HNF should be HMF. Also just found out that my mother was in the ATS when she married, so I think HT2 is another misprint and should be ATS. Emailed the records office to confirm with the original certificate.
Thank you again.
