According to Wiki there seems to be several answers to my question as to where he was buried - has anyone come up with a definite answer?

It's strongly suspected in Perth, where he was murdered, that he was buried at the Carthusian monastery, (since totally demolished), which was sited somewhere under or next to the hospital built by James VI. This still stands, and is an A-listed building. There's been recent talk in the local area press about having a look, both for the whereabouts of the monastery, and the possible location of the King's grave.

Oops, sorry - got my James's totally mixed up! As Jno's link says, there are loads of places the king could be.

Thanks jno, and heathfield - I was born where the battle of Flodden was fought, and was always told that King James was killed on the lawn of what was then the vicarage, there was a darker patch of grass supposedly the spot - his body was supposed to have been taken to London - but in those times it could have been any body, partricularly if his chain was removed from round his waist and he could be buried locally with other fallen soldiers, it would be interesting if he could be found like Richard 3rd.
.

all over Flodden ?
