I have been doing some Irish family history research and have come across a list of people,including one my ancestors,where it says something to do with the "Return of the weight of bread"

Does anyone know anything about this???

Just put - Return of the weight of bread on a census form - into Google.

It's likely it was a job in the forerunner of Weights & Measures or similar.
