fsx frame rates

Hi I was just wondering if there is a cheeky way of improving the frame rates on FSX without buying anything for it as penny's are tight. Or if there is a way of improving it with more parts I have a dell Inspiron 1720 with a nvidia Ge force 8600m gt (I know dell laptops are useless and laptops in general for gaming is useless but I'm stuck with it)
Processor Intel core duo CPU t540 @1.66ghz 1.67 ghz
Ram 2046mb
Hard drive 250
