Reseting Xbox 360

Just got an new xbox 360, it was pre owned and they have allready registerd there live and there network connection can not remove it and add mine at all.
So I think that the only other thing to do is reset it all so I can start again from scratch,
How do you do it ?

you should still be able to recover your gamertag to this 360 and network settings can be altered simply enough too. just go to the network blade.

What Matt says is correct, however you'll still have all their profile information and save games on the HDD if they've left any on there.

Switch it on and the dashboard will boot up showing the previous owner's details and profile. Scroll to the system blade and find Memory and there should be an option to format the HDD and then you can run the setup and suchlike as normal and set yourself up with a Gamer Tag and sort out Live

It might not be in the Memory secton, but it is definitely in that blade of the Dashboard - I would look, but Mrs cake is in the PS3 at the moment so the TV is in use.

For future reference, if you ever sell it on, make sure you format the drive again as if you don't it leaves all your personal data on there including credit card details if you used them to buy your Xbox Live subscription.

Hope that helps
