adventure games

can anyone recommend any really compelling adventure games? i dont like anything too fantasy-like. as in wizards and magic. ive played all the broken sword games and loved each one! - is there anything similiar to "moment of silence" - that was a good game but alas too short!

Have you tried the Myst trilogy? Lots of puzzles in the game to really stretch the grey matter. Or how about Monkey Island?
