Years ago I purchased Myst and really enjoyed it - what game should I buy - I have an apple (don't know if that makes a difference )
Don't want a shoot em up game I am a pensioner
Over the last few years the only one I have played (and now just about played out) was the Dragon Age trilogy. I thought them great but didn't manage to persuade my siblings. Maybe practice and familiarity breeds success and approval ?
Monument Valley. It's a lovely puzzle game. You have to get a small girl around the stages, and it has Escher-like qualities in the scenery. I really loved it.
I've just looked at what Myst is, having never heard of it before, and MV might not be as exciting, but I think you might enjoy it.
I love a game called the long dark which is a survival game set in the Canadian Wilderness, see the trailer. You can change the settings so there is no need for violence but you may need to shoot a deer or two to survive. It is utterly compelling, looks beautiful and has a great soundtrack.
