When I was younger I always really wanted a gameboy but we couldn't afford them. I had a friend who had one and I used to love to play supermario and tetris.

I have just won a colour gameboy with supermario game on ebay (for less than £10!) and am well chuffed :c) Does anybody else still play with an old style game boy or is it just me in my own outdated little world? If so, do you have any recommendations for games? I mainly like platform games, tetris/bust-a-move type games and beat 'em up games.

Cheers

I have about 7 gameboys but they are all gameboy sp's which are much better than the original gameboy

I had to google them, I didn't like the look of those ones but don't doubt they're better than the one I'm getting. I was just going to get the basic original but got talked in to colour. I'm on a bit of a trip down memory lane so am very chuffed, this is the one I am getting:

I like that, you can get plenty of games via ebay and amazon.

I used to have one in the 90s but I think I only use to play tetris on it during my 10 min break at work. sounds quite depressing when I think about it ;)
I had a gameboy back in the 90s. I had loads of games like Tetris, Jurasic Park, Dracula and others. Then I got a Sega MegaDrive and the novelty of the gameboy wore off. I've got a DS which plays gameboy games and the one I like is Banjo Tooie which is a platform roleplay game.

Not that depressing, I might take mine to play on the train to work... and maybe lunch time too if I like it...

That all sounds way too advanced for a games simpleton like me triggs, I still like playing the dots game on AB, although I win every time now so not much of a challenge.

Snags and I were discussing sonic the hedgehog v Mario earlier, I fall in the Mario camp... He's in the sonic camp... as usual he is wrong. ;0)

Wario 3 was pretty good on the GB colour.

Get Zelda: Links Awakening DX - it's pretty much the best Zelda game ever made.
I really want to get a Mega Drive. I'm definitely in the Sonic camp, you can't beat the classics.
Saying that, I do get a bit addicted to Mario Kart!
Sonic > Mario.
But who would win in a fight???
Question Author
Mario would win!

I'm thinking of getting that Zelda game but it looks complex for me..
I got a few old original gameboys boxed (release box as there were many box designs). I also have mk1 and mk2 atari lynx. few playstations, NES, game gear and a few others. all still get played very much when I have time.

can't beat the retro games.
It's not really China, you'd love it, even if it just the chicken abuse.
Question Author
I had an atari when I was younger too :c)

Chicken abuse? Why do I now feel the urge to start battering ChuckFickens?
Zelda is brilliant CD. I've completed Spirit Tracks and Phantom Hourglass but that was on DS.

<Bump> Cause of the rudies.
