nintendo weii sport batteries run down.

Whenever we get this out to play the batteries in the gaget you stand on need replacing. Why is this? We use it for two hours at the most. The system is plugged in but not used maybe for two or three weeks, possibly more. Is it draining the batteries?

Do you put in new batteries every time? Are they rechargables or single use? You can get a great wii fit battery pack from Argos and then you just recharge it.
