ive just got a loan of tiger woods 2008 and I loaded onto my pc (which is running vista premium) and it keeps going back to desktop every couple of holes played does anybody know the reason why this is happening.

Does the game generate an error message?
Check if there are any patches out for the game if there are apply them this could be a know bug. I would also check any forums specific to the game others may be experiencing or have experienced the same problem and know how to fix it.

As it's a new game you will need to download the latest driver for your graphics card if you haven't done so already.

yeah vista has problems with a lot of games no matter what it says on the box, you need to go and see whether there are any patches to download for the games, whether you can do this with you just borrowing the game I am not sure, sometimes the games get registered.
