rice puuding slow cooker

i want to make a rice pudding for after tea today. I would like to use my slow cooker really, as my oven is playing up a bit.
Do i just grease the bowl and add the ingredients as I would normally?
here is a recipe in my book but it's a fancy caramel one, but I just want a plain one.
Can anyone help?

Do a plain one, but heat the milk beforehand if you want it ready for tea and even then you may be tight for time for thorough cooking. I usually put mine on for about 6 hours!

Add a little butter and stir occasionally. Should only stick around the top where the skin forms.
