pearl barley

I remember many many years ago, my Mother making a milk pudding with pearl barley. It was delicious ! Does anyone have a recipe please?

lidlicker never heard of anyone using pearl barley for a pudding, its usually associated with either scotch broth or other hearty stews!

Puddicat - you are right ! I was probably thinking of barley kernels and not the pearl barley you put in stews !

Thanks mccfluff - that sounds like the one, now all I need is to find barley kernels !

I think you just want pudding rice which is similar in shape to pearl barley not at all like long grain ????My Mum made a LOVELY rice pudding unfortunately there was no recipe and I've never got it the same as hers. Good Luck !!
