As above, boiled, plain rice - need some inspiration I have got the following in the fridge;

Chillis
Tom Puree
Ginger
Soy Sauce
Tabasco Sauce
White wine
Eggs (for egg fried)?
Garlic cloves

Dried mixed Herbs
Cumin
Curry/Chilli powder
Bay Leaves
Garlic powder

Not sure that the above would need cooked first though, as it may taste raw in the rice once it's boiled and jsut stirred through????

A good splash of soy sauce will make the rice more interesting, but you really need some meat or veg, unless you're Chinese.

Make a nice omelette, then pop out to Tesco...
Boil the rice, transfer to a wok and crack an egg into it, add a few splashes of soy sauce and gently fry until the egg is cooked.
Meant to say that you need to stir fry. lol
Experiment.

Also check the fancy packets of rice at you local store and see what the manufacturers try.

i.e. "Red peppers, green peppers, juicy green beans, carrots and peas and a pinch of seasoning" maybe :-)

Thanks Guys, was kind of hoping to use some herbs etc too, although am unsure about how to cook. Should this all be wok-fried after boiling the rice? Do you think that any of the other ingredients would be nice, ie tom puree and so on? Wanted to make rice that tasted like those out of the ready made packets but much tastier and above all fresh lol. Hope that makes sense!?
You could experiment with adding the herbs and tomato puree in the wok. I used to do the rice as I said before then add fresh beansprouts and bits of cooked chicken to make a filling meal.
I know this is probably too late, but I like to fry garlic, onion & mushrooms. Add a chicken stock cube, and a nice level teaspoon of mild curry powder & seasoning. I then add the rice and fry together - it's got a nice kick to it when its done. Or if you have meat, fry this too. Loads of things you can do with boiled rice, you just need to experiment.
Ginger chilli and garlic and a little tom puree

or the dried herbs and garlic tomato puree for italian style

Put a little oil in the pan and put in the dry rice keep it moving in the pan until some of it starts to go brown pour in some water or vegetable stock turn the heat down ,add the other ingredients cover and leave cooking slowly for about 15 mins topping up with a little more liquid if it needs it
