Another baking question....sorry !!!. Want to make some pinwheels this afternoon with my 12 year old daughter and we were wondering what to use as a filling.

It's got to be sweet so jam, chocolate spread type stuff.

Also, do you use puff or shortcrust pastry...we have both but i would imagine the former.

puff pastry is better. Maybe apricot jam?

I only ever make them as cheese and marmite whirls. Yummy!
I've made them with Mincemeat for Christmas before and they were very nice (puff pastry) also if you have any apples in the garden, make apple, sultana and cinnamon ones.
