i accidentally bought rose wine instead of red and wish to make gravy.. will it be ok to make it with rose?

No problem. You might like to look for 'rose wine gravy' on Google for recipes to go with what you'll be having it with.
The Rose wine will be o.k. However I do sometimes wonder about wine gravies when it is possible to achieve a similar result from a normal gravy with a spoonful of vinegar added. ....Best wishes ...Ron
Interesting comment. I found out many years ago that vinegar and honey produced a flavour that tasted almost exactly the same as if red wine had been used.
