Is it wrong to eat frozen cheesecake?

Is it dangerous to eat food that hasnt fully defrosted? Im not talking about meat but sometimes (like now) I feel the urge for something sweet and find frozen cheesecake in the freezer. Since I dont want to wait for it to defrost I will either take it out for half an hour and start eating this semi frozen cheesecake or stick it in the microwave for a couple of minutes.
I feel guilty that Im not defrosting it properly but should I be worried that its bad for health?

Sorry to spoil it but dairy produce can be very dangerous if not kept and treated correctly. In layman terms. Dairy produce contains harmful bacteria. When bacteria gets warm they breed to a level which can be dangerous to humans. Which is why we cook to such a high temperature to kill the bacteria that have bread during the heating process. When you defrost this cheesecake in a microwave the chances are some parts of it will become warm and therefore bacteria will be breeding. So there is a chance you can put yourself at risk. It's better to leave at room temp to defrost.

If you cut the cheesecake into very thin slices it will thaw quicker. You can either do this before you put it into the freezer or as you take it out. I have an electric carving knife with a frozen food blade. This sometimes ends up a bit ragged but the cheesecake will still taste good.
