Fish Pie - a quick question

Should you pre-cook the fish before you put it in the oven?

I usually do, but if you cut the fish into small enough chunks, it cooks ok in the sauce. Pre-cooking can make it a bit dry.

I poach the fish chunks in milk for about 5 to 7 minutes and then use the milk to make the sauce.
