I keep seeing lots of nice things on telly & in mags (ie nigella etc etc) & I think I am ready for a change of cuisine - away from the standard pie & chips but I dont want to try anything fancy or complicated.
Dont care what it is - do you have any simple, tasty, things that even a bloke could cook?

toad in the hole
bangers and mash with onion gravy
pasta with tomato sauce or carbanara
sheppherds/cottage pie
get a kids cookery book, nice and simple! thats the best start, then move on to more advanced books!!

good ole stir fry, cook the meat, chuck in some other bits, like baby sweetcorn, etc and add some sauce, bobs ya uncle
fry off a little chili and garlic in a pan (I keep the squeezy tubes of them in freezer for ease) with olive oil

then fry off some cooked prawns in the oil until the flavours have penetrated.

serves with boiled new potatos and salad.

I find that the smaller (handy cos they are cheaper too) prawns are best for this.

Try mince. Simply boil with chopped onion, carrot, salt and pepper. Try a dash of worcester sauce in and use Bisto to thicken. Boil some spuds to go with it.
Get really complicated and heat some frozen peas.
