I have a friend coming for dinner tomorrow, she likes medium-dry white. I know nothing. Any recommendations? (preferably something I can grab when I'm running 'round Tescos).
Thanks.

You can't go wrong with a Pinot Grigio. Spend about 5. When I am unsure what wine to get I buy Blossom Hill, a very safe brand.

Chilean Sauvignon Blanc won't break the bank, nice and tangy, goes with most things. Enjoy.
le pai doir , {sp} is a really nice white wine , it only costs around 3.50 as well.

Enjoy your evening tomorrow night.
If in doubt I always go for an Australian Chardonay, check out which ones are on offer and just try something new. Have a good evening.
