How could I make my story where there are easter eggs thrown into what happened in the back story. I have an idea where I want to make my readers to piece together what happened to lead to the events of the novel.

Are you referring to chocolate Easter eggs or to the media/computer programme definition of intentional inside joke, a hidden message, or secret feature?
