Years ago I worked with Michael Mayne who assured me he was the first Milky bar kid in 1961. During a liquid lunch he explained how his mum was somehow involved in the Ad and that he'd been recruited to be the "kid". However most sources now claim it was Terry Brooks except, that is, IMBD: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2150689/?ref_=nv_sr_1 does anyone have an explanation for this anomaly? The reason is that this was a chase question the other day and I said Michael Mayne and explained to er indoors that I used to work with him but felt a right eejit when they claimed it was Terry Brooks. Thanks!

each entry i looked at seems to point to Terry Brooks.
IMDB has Michael Mayne noted as the original, but possibly only at his word again....

This site clams it is Terry Brooks.
Not sure how accurate it is.

thanks all, chelle that pic does look like it could be him! anyway does seem like there is some clarification needed here.
It's a long time ago now and I could be wrong but I feel sure there were adverts for Milky Bar prior to 1961.
The bar has been around a long longer than the kid.
