I'm not good at carving, I need a meat dish which I can serve at the table straight from the dish and with veg as well if poss....

Thanks everyone, more than enough to keep me occupied......
coq au vin, done in a slowpot. Can be put on hours before eaters sit down. Buy a ready-prepared tray of roasting vegetables, and just pop them in the oven in their tray. Doddle
