Friday. Another hot day on it's way. A bit cool at the moment. Long may it last.

Having met my friends yesterday, we had a lovely day, they were impressed with lunch at the TA. Then took them for a tour, along country roads that give some of the best views of this beautiful county. They were impressed enough to want to come back! :o} They are lovely people.

Preparations for the Tall Ships today. All go innit!

another phew what a scorcher here today..got so hot the rubber surround on the back step mat melted ! got my grass and neighbours back grass cut, but it got too hot..so will dash out soon and do his front lawns ..

while in town yesterday we came past Holyrood Palace and the parliament building, car parks closed , and access roads closed..ringfenced by armed men in uniforms.... Obama in Edinburgh later..if it's going to happen here then today is the day.....

A scorcher here too. The tall ships festival starts tomorrow, I shall be there. I have things to do today, so I can't be there to help set up.

Nailit manuka honey with lemon..it is more expensive but a teaspoon in hot water really helps..

Morning all, another lovely one here....a bit of strimming yesterday but picked up a wee burn from the motor, my arms still sensitive - however, a good number of nettles have gone to meet their prickly maker.
