Having had a route/root through the freezer I unearthed some of the Swedish meatballs I bought a while back and asked here for some advice/suggestions for a sauce to go with them.
Last time I made a honey mustard one, at Mamys suggestion, which was lovely. This time I've made a savoury creamy gravy which Islay suggested. Have to say it does taste rather good, it's an amalgamation of a few recipes I found online and contains beef stock, wine, cream, cranberry sauce and rosemary among other things. Having it with fine green beans and mash.
Makes a change from salad on a scorchio day...

I love onion gravy with liver or steak BOO, but I wanted a traditional sauce to go with these 'ere Swedish delicacies, worth the effort too.
Who you calling a faggot, Snags??
Islay, we both smacked our lips over the whole meal, I think this gravy was even nicer than the creamy mustard sauce I did last time.
I still have one lot of the meatballs left so will have a look for another difference sauce next time.
How about a cider sauce?
