Any suggestions for using a tin of chickpeas? Don't really want to blitz it down as i like them whole. What would you put them in? stews? spag bol? in a salad?

Just as a PS....i'm going to try growing some from seed this year. Supposed to be reasonably easy.

I like them in a salad with some croutons and crispy bacon bits
Mix them with chopped spring onions and olive oil. They make a lovely side dish.
Chickpea and cauliflower curry.
Yep the curry would be good
As already said - in salads are good.
Thank goodness it wasnt sweetcorn and you had opened more than one tin!
Stop it, I'm drooling !
In a soup
Make a pottage. Fry some leeks gently, add chopped carrots and celery and some bite size chicken. Add some chicken stock, and some bite size potatoes, when al is tender add the rinsed chickpeas. Heat through and add some chopped fresh mint. Usual salt and pepper.
Falafel :)
I'd then serve the Falafel in toasted pitta with humus and shredded veg. You can add chilli or mint to taste.
I had a chickpea curry at a pub once and it was delicious ...

Humus. Mash them up with a blender and put whatever you like in the mix. Use whatever you care to put in it. Curry, herbs, onions, sardines, leftovers. I have it every day on toast. Very tasty and nourishing. Make as many pots as you can and put any pots not needed straight away in the freezer. Yoghurt pots are about the right size.
Chickpea and spinach curry,.....delish
I'd add them to soup once its almost ready... if you don't have time to make soup ... just add half the tin of chickpeas to a tin of tomato soup ... and add a splash of cream or coconut milk if you want
Curry or add a few to bulk out a cottage pie
