Looking this year at getting a multi bird roast for Christmas dinner. Iceland do a 3 bird (duck, chicken and goose) roast where Aldi do a 4 and 5 roast bird. Any recommendations?

Zimmerman, I bought one a couple of Christmases ago, too much, sickly even.
Hammerman ..
had the 5 bird from ALDI the one with cranberry ! very nice too....
Is that where they stuff one bird with another ?
Can't say I see the point of it myself. Pick a meat and stick with it, would be my suggestion.
Will your guests like all the meats?
This Guardian link is from two years ago but they recommended the Aldi 4 Bird Roast (but advised not bothering with the optional marmalade glaze):

It is OG, and I completely agree.
Elle Macpherson, Melissa Rauch and Kaley Cuoco: now that would be an incredible three bird christmas dinner
I've always avoided these birds, I doubt if one can tell the different birds when all cooked together ?
That looks good minty.
No, a turkey should look like a turkey not a cake :-)
From memory, when carving, it it didn't hold together well due to all the layers. What could be nicer than one quality meat on your roast?
waste of money.....get a nice organic Black Hen turkey....nice slow cook and a good long resting time. Or a goose with same treatment....
The trouble with 3 bird roasts is that they usually have some sort of fruit in the stuffing and I hate anything that is sweet and savoury together. I did get a fresh one (on boxing day) from Sainsburys a couple of years ago and it was very nice.
no waste...have not had a bird for years..go for boned crown nowadays !
Cooked one once for Sunday dinner and it was a mess!!! maybe I over cooked it but it just fell apart.
Same here, Sharon. It was just hacked to pieces and looked a right mess. Tasted ok though.
Gness, Tilly and murraymints would be an AB three bird delicacy ;-) Anyone fancy a job of stuffing them. Lol
You'd have to catch us first, Melv!
