Hello boaty! Very long time no speaky. I rejoined to pay my respects to Psybbo. A tragic loss to AB. I was very fond of her.
The weather is much the same as where you are. No gales, thank goodness, or it would be like Siberia here. My dog Rufus is much happier now that it's cold, but no rain. He's a nesh boy!
I'm in the middle of loom-knitting a blanket for my sister's dog for Christmas - don't laugh, it's funny! Trouble is, she has now inherited a whippet as well and he feels the cold, so I'm going to have to do one for him too.
I'm waiting for it to get light enough to take Rufus for a walk. The old hips are painful in the morning and a good walk seems to help. At least I've now got loads of hats to choose from, God knows I've knitted enough to kit out the local school! He's barking at the moment, probably at nothing, as usual. I'll just pop off for a look, mind...
He' had a treat for being very good, ie: not shouting his mouth off, like he usually does. The neighbours wouldn't be too pleased to be woken at this time with his big mouth.
I've just bought a pattern for an enormous shaggy dog to knit. That will be fun.
Ooh! I see that Elina has just appeared.
Good morning dearest!
Ha! .. Still off work, never been off this long for yonks When I say long, it's only been since last Friday but it seems ages. I got six magic tablets left, see if I have to go back to the doctors for more. I'm o.k but for my breathing, I've lost my voice near enough.
I had bronchitis recently, always lasts for 8 weeks. I could only manage a squeak for the first couple of weeks, but made myself some thyme cough syrup. Worked better than my usual Covonia, even though it was much too sweet.
Small dog syndrome, auburn with bits of blonde, spectacular tail, very loud voice, teddy bear face. He's a good boy, really. Some days I can't take him out, so I've bought a toy that you place a ball in one end, then stamp on the other end and the ball shoots off into the stratosphere. He loves it and barks madly whenever it appears.
