Salmon fillets, stir fry and noodles, it was delicious. Was going to do scampi, chips and peas but am glad I didn't.
Tomorrow I'm experimenting with the blooming slow cooker again...beef stew with carrots, onions and red wine, sprouts as an accompaniment. Fingers crossed.
What are you having tonight?
home made butternut squash, sweet potato, sweet chilli and red pepper soup..with home made crusty... don't think there will be room for anything else !
Keep meaning to try corned beef hotspot in the slow cooker Islay. By the way, I'm ggoing to make the chilli ice cream soon, do I just freeze it or do I have to take it out periodically and stir it up?
Eve, as long as you enjoy it... ;)
I often make that soup that you made minty, it's delicious, I roast my butternut squash first, it's a real cheap meal at the moment because all those ingredients are cheap in shops like lidl and aldi-I think I'll pop down there tomorrow and get whizz up a nice soup like that, we certainly have the weather for it, absolutely freezing. Today I just had minced beef and onion in a gravy poured over spuds yummy
Just a slow cook of a chicken, some herbs strewn across....a 2.5 hr roast, expose the breasts for the last 40 mins and rest...
throw in some potato wedgies, seasoned, oiled and some crushed coriander seeds on. Roasted cherry toms.
A small selection of steamed green beans, turnips and baby bak choy, then mounted on the spuds, season and some of the roast chicken over and then the jus.....
