Am trying to scoot around for salad ingredients.....

Have lettuce, poncy leaves, cucumber, peppers, tomatoes and various form of of onion.

Looking in store cupboard I'm finding artichokes, capers and olives.

Small piece of goats cheese in the fridge and there is some feta too.

I feel something is missing....what though?

Any suggestions to perk supper up?

Pine nuts and a sumac dressing?

Not wholly convinced that curried rice (yum) or sumac again (yum) would compliment an essentially Mediterranean salad.

I'll keep on ransacking fridges and cupboards.......
grated carrot, stuffed peppers. boiled small salad potatoes, coleslaw, 4 bean salad. the list is almost endless. enjoy it whatever you choose to add.

I was about to say, "Anything appetising" but that's a little unfair. I see you have chicken and cheese. Ok some of the other stuff is ok too, although some needs cooking.

You need to sling the cucumber and leaves into the bin before you stare at it so long it puts you off eating anything. You could start off with a nice piece of the roast chicken and put something with it. You could do a roasted veg dish with the peppers, tomatoes, onion. I wonder if a layer of grated cheese on top would improve it ? Could add it near the end of the roasting time. And if you want to use the capers and olives as an appetiser ...

Apart from that the only thing missing is a plate, eating utensils, and the usual condiments. Oh and a glass of good wine of course. Maybe candlelight. Subtle light music in the background. And sending us all our invites.
Small steamed potatoes and a hard boiled egg cut lengthways.
with some slithers of sweet red peppers.
