Ended up at hospital this morning. Yesterday while cleaning a low window sill my back went. I have never known pain like it. Worse than childbirth.
When I went to the loo I couldn't get up and had to call for OH to help me. Felt such a fool.
This morning it was even worse so went to minor injuries unit. I had to use two walking sticks to walk.
They think it's probably a trapped nerve. Given two lots of pills and had to get further pills from pharmacy. I've got Ibruprofen and solpadine.
Should have been at skittles and lunch with U3A but too bad to go, OH went on his own.
So sat here on three cushions feeling very sorry for myself.

Thanks Queenie. Welcome back stokemaveric. Long time no see!
Back pain is the worst! I damaged mine when we moved into this house and I lifted a box awkwardly. Today was really really hot so I decided to sunbathe for a hour. Laid on my tummy on sun lounger. Went to turn over and couldn't move! My monile happened to be by my hand so had to txt my husband to come and get me up!! He was in hysterics!!
sorry to hear this,v.unpleasant, take care, hope better soon
Oh dear. I hope your back recovers soon.
Oh my Caran, sorry to hear that - take it steady and feel better soon.

I had a few months last year of spinal issues, they totally debilitate you, so take care.x

Thanks for all good wishes. Last lot of pills starting to ease things just a little.
I sympathise. Back pain can be awful, locking you into a position not daring to move in case it sets it off. Good luck with getting sorted soon.
Worse than childbirth, gosh it must be bad !
I know what it is like. I suffer with back problems too and touch wood, I've been ok for the last couple of years.
