Sunday. Cloudy this morning, warm though.

The lunch charter went well...as usual, A happy party that really enjoyed themselves. They took it turns, two at a rime, to come up onto the stern to see what goes on. Not a lot by then! But they had a chance to see the scenery from a better viewpoint. Nice people.

I might flash up the barbie today.

Tiggy is still out and about. Haven't seen the other one again. Could be it was as a Mrs. tiggy and he's had his wicked way with her then invited her to go forth and multiply...literally!

Have a happy day everyone.

Morning minty xxx How are you and mum this morning?
Morning all !

Another sticky night ! We have a spot or two of rain by the looks of it.
Question Author
Morning mikey. Dry here, but I don't think the cloud is going to break. Just looking at the weather report, I don't think I'll be waking up the barbie! :o{
morning Mikey xx

fine ta boaty..had a wee jaunt down the coast yesterday , will be taking mum home today via the cemetery and lunch..looking wee bit dull and threatening here hoping it stays dry as will also have to cut grass here and at mums
Morning all.
The wee dog has more sense than me this morning. It's still asleep in its bed. I'll make the porridge for later then see if I can get it up and out for a morning walk.
Minty, do locals go to the festival shows or is it mostly a tourist thing?
morning Sandy xx smart pooch !
Question Author
Morning sandy. Sensible dog! :o}

I'm sure you both enjoyed that minty. You're a star. xxx
a fair amount of us do go to things in the fringe..not so much the tattoo etc.. Edinburgh trebles in size for all of August, prices shoot up and it is impossible to walk down Princes Street..George Street or the Royal Mile...so I try to keep away unless there is stuff I really want to see....

Sounds right minty. Grockles all over the place. It's much the same in the Cotswolds. I tend to avoid the whole area if I can.
it is a disgrace how everything from hotel rooms..B&B..local cafés, restaurants etc suddenly feel compelled to hike up the prices though..even in the pubs, drinks and bar meals become so much more expensive..
Question Author
It is minty. Pure profiteering. Disgraceful.
and mountains of Tartan goods and bagpipers seem to appear from the depths !!
Good morning all. Should be a nice day.

We are in a tourist area but can't say that I've noticed pubs etc.putting up their prices.
Question Author
I can imagine. It's Cotswold type tat here. Fridge magnets etc.
morning Tanner xx

by mid September things return to the more usual rate..however Edinburgh city was voted the most expensive place to live after London...so these things are quite expensive even outwith the festival..
Question Author
Morning WT. xxx Not everywhere here does, just some of the more popular tourist places.
Question Author
It's a lot better here. Quite reasonable. Just the money grabbers.
The tourist season used to be limited to the summer so people had to make enough to see them through the winter but tourism is all year round now.
