My dad has recently had his front driveway re-flagged and I noticed that they used some kind of compound to fill in between the joints.
Apparently you just pour it in and it sets rock hard and it's weed resistant.

It was something very similar to this:

My pointing needs re-doing on my patio and I'm thinking of trying this - no more messy sand and cement mixes :)

Has anyone tried this - is it as good as it suggests?? Any negatives that I'm not aware of ??

I've used something similar on mine Giz and its stood up to steam pressure washing for 3 years..however it now needs a new application.Make sure the joint is at least 25mm deep and 5mm wide or it will come out......it cost me £140 to do mine ..so it aint cheap.

There is one available that you hose down the patio and sweep it in with a soft brush, that is supposed to be pretty good. Not cheap though as Sparks says. I will try to find the link.
There is a video with that link Giz. I think there is a calculator for how much you need that uses area and paving stone size. ie if the patio small slabs you need more per m2. because of more joints to fill.

You dont need that 10c....you just brush the mix into the joint..press it in with your finger and let it set.
Doesn't it cause drainage problems ?
OG, it only causes drainage issues if there is no where for water to run off or if the patio has dips in it.

Thanks for all the replies .... all good .... I suppose the only downside is the price; but at the end of the day, You get what you pay for :)
At my place it's likely to run off to the house.
Think I will stick to weeding the drive :-)
