Is this possible? Or does it need stabilising with something first?

Homemade, not store bought.

So do I murray. But I'll be making an Angel Food Cake in the future so will have about 10 egg yolks left over and thought I'd make some chocolate custard for the freezer. Probably have to make lemon curd now. D'ya reckon lime curd would work the same way as lemon? I never see it about.
Same here Minty, I am more than happy to sit down to just a bowl full of custard!

I love the stuff, as long as it isn't that instant rubbish!
lime curd sounds nice !!
I love "confectioner's custard", is that a thing, or have I made it up? Shall Google.

Lime curd is lovely. I bought some in a farm shop along with some black currant curd - wasn't so keen on that though.

I wonder why they don't make it commercially? I prefer it to lemon.
waitrose used to sell both lime and orange curd....I guess its not that popular and so easy to make.
