Lunch @ 12.30 - 1x ham and cheese toastie, nice and fat, with Jerusalem artichokes, some reheated roasties and peas for the mater.

For me on my diet, cold chicken leg, a little Yorkshire Blue, Gorgonzola, a splodge of red pepper hummus and an apple.

2nd attempted lunch suddenly appeared at 2.30 - dogfood, cornflakes, my swede mash (destined for dinner instead of potatoes), chocolate mousse and red pepper hummus.

6.15, starting the cooking for dinner, I discover at the back of the Aga, two chicories - in the dog's bowl, black - having been in there since c.2.15. She doesn't even like chicory and there goes £1-50 out of the window, that for tomorrow's dinner for me.

Cheers, I'm going to open a bottle of wine and, no, it ain't Sainsbury's Longue Dog/

Should have asked for some favourite such recipes from others' experiences....

the Cotes du Rhone (Terre Mistral) est ouvert maintenant. Salut.

Cheers, hi Pixie, Wolf Blass here :-)

Question Author
Now there's a meaty wine, Psybbs, the yellow?
Blimey DT, what a concoction - maybe time to buy another new dog bowl? Otherwise, hope self & Mater are well? xx

Had a bottle of salsa explode earlier all of the kitchen spice cupboard, so dinner here was 'eventful' too.
Yes, the yellow. Fine, thanks, just tired, Yes, every Monday and providing food for 4 days, meanwhile an elderly friend has had bad flu/virus so we've been looking after her too. Pixie, did you hire me?
Happy to, sibs? Xx
Think the dog bowl needs hiding, or the dog will be on a no-carbs, wine-only diet too...
Question Author
a bottle of what went up, peas? Luvverly mess. Yes, there maybe a need to replace dog bowl 2. The spaniel walks around with them in his jaws, a bit like one of those saffron or orange clad Bhuddist monks with their alms boxes.
Question Author
the dog could do with it, believe me - he gets totally overfed.

Aya, Psybbs, two to handle, now that is a drain on the energy and emotions.
Years ago OH exploded a bottle of tonic in the kitchen, we always said that was why we had a new kitchen put in! I'm thinking of exploding another one.
Exploding the kitchen? Go for it, if it makes you feel better xx
Question Author
Now she has fallen into a deep sleep, just as dinner is up. Tempis.....cheers

Cheers DT :-) ..and relaaaax...

(dog is probably being protective over bowl going into aga again lol)
Question Author
