I guess were all plagued by the water content in Bacon these days.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a brand that can be fried, like it used to be.

Do you have a traditional butcher handy? Most of them do a decent dry cured bacon.
Yes, look for the words "dry cured"...even Lidl do it, at a very good price, too.
because basically that is how you make bacon and ham

pump water in it and the cheaper the cut the more water
You can get dry cured bacon everywhere - I get mine from Sainsburys.
Spoilt Pig or Denhay are better than average and available from most supermarkets.
No butcher Lidl or Sainsburys within easy reach!
butchers! I'm not a food snob, but I can't stand supermarket bacon, or sauages
Morrisons bacon from the butcher's counter is lovely. The rindless, dry-cured, unsmoked back bacon is a dream.
Tilly, please send me some. Bacon here is rubbish.
Will try there next time I go. Only go about every 6 weeks as I always buy too much and have problems lugging it home. Walk to bus stop then 20 minute bus journey.
Daisy, get a taxi!
Do you not have a Morrisons, sibs?
They never made it to Northern Ireland, unfortunately, Tilly
Nearly £7 a journey?
Keep using the bus then, Daisy.
on line shop?
On line shop in emergencies, shopping is good exercise
I like food shopping. It's an event for me. How sad is that?
I loathe shopping in any form
